Advice for those who have to go on holiday in the mountains in the snow

Now that winter is getting closer and the snow is starting to show up in our mountains, many are starting to organize themselves to go and spend a few days skiing.

There are many destinations, fortunately Italy is full of places where it is possible to both ski and do many other activities on the snow, but also simply relaxing in the midst of nature.

Remember to also pack a couple of light sweaters.

A ski suit is definitely suitable for skiing, but if you stand still under the sun it can happen, on a beautiful day with clear skies, to be hot and you could also take advantage of getting some sun. In this case, however, don't forget to bring a sunscreen with a high level of protection.

The sun at high altitude plays tricks and, even if you don't feel it particularly strongly due to the low surrounding temperature, it could give you some sunburn. Also use high protection sunscreen to protect your nose and lips, even if you are not standing still under the sun you could get burned.

Another absolutely necessary accessory when you go skiing are sunglasses. You can't do without it. The glare of the sun on the snow is very strong and can be very annoying, even creating some small damage to your eyes, as well as bothering you when viewing the track, hiding potholes and bumps.

On the market you can find special lenses, created specifically to minimize the annoyance of reflections and correctly protect your eyes. If you choose to go skiing alone, try never to stray off the beaten track. Off-piste descents can be dangerous, due to the risk of avalanches or avalanches.

However, always carry your mobile phone with you, which can be useful in an emergency. In any case, try to stay within the marked routes and remember that even on the ski slopes there is a "highway code".

Give the right precedence and respect the signs you find on the slopes, This way you will avoid possible accidents. If you also bring your children it is a good idea to let them wear a protective helmet.

Children tend to run a lot even on skis so try not to lose sight of them.

Try to check your equipment carefully, make sure that the edges of your skis are well maintained so as to allow you to have grip even in the event of some hidden ice sheets, avoiding disastrous falls.
